  • Carefirst Blue Cross Blue Shield

  • United Healthcare/Optum

  • Cigna/Allegiance

  • Uninsured/Self-Pay

Q: What Can I Expect Once I’ve Contacted You?

A: Once you contact Margaret Koon, LISW-CP to inquire about services, you will hear either from Margaret or Linnea. We will request some demographic information from you, using that info to add you as a client in our system. You will then have access to the client portal to sign a few forms (consent for services, financial agreement, and intake questionnaire) before your first session.

Q. How Long is a Session?

A. Sessions are 60 minutes.

Q. What is a Good Faith Estimate?

A: The Good Faith Estimate is a breakdown of expected charges for services that are rendered to clients who are either uninsured or who don’t plan to submit their claims to their insurance company. You can learn more about the GFE here or at Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services

Q: Do You Offer Teletherapy?

A: Yes! As a courtesy, Margaret does offer teletherapy services to her clients through Simple Practice, a HIPAA compliant, secure platform.
Teletherapy is a newer service and while most Insurances now will cover these sessions, we always recommend a client check with their Insurance plan to ensure teletherapy is a covered service.

The portal will email you a link for your teletherapy session approximately 10 minutes before your appointment. Once you login, you will be put in a virtual “waiting room”. When Margaret is ready, she will join the video chat with you and your session will begin.
**If you have any trouble logging in for your appointment, please text Margaret 864-479-4053.
